I'm
spending the week at the Potawatomi Inn, as the featured musician
for the Great Lakes Unity Conference. Ministers and others representing
Unity Churches from the nine state Great Lakes region get together
every Fall to go over "church business". I have to say,
this is about as fun as it gets for a musician. "Unity"
is all about positive thinking and good energy, so a banquet room
"full of that" makes for a great concert. Spending the
week with so much good energy around is very inspiring. Thanks Unity!

It's
so much fun to come back to Vermillion. Have you been here? In a
little while I'll be playing at the National Music Museum, on the
campus of the University of South Dakota. This multi story building
houses an incredible collection of old and newer instruments from
around the world. Andre Larson is the Director and has brought me
in here to perform many times over the years. Stop in and say "hi".
From here I head down the interstate to Sioux City, Iowa.

It's
been a cold week here in the Northeast. With all the new airline
restrictions on baggage, I didn't have room to bring my parka but
I sure could've used it yesterday as the wind howled through Boston.
It seems warmer up here in Vermont. Go figure. My rental car is
a new Jeep Patriot. I feel like a real New Englander driving through
the mountains here in a Jeep. I have a concert tomorrow at the school.
Should be a lot of fun. |
